Welcome to the Element CXI University Wiki

This page is devoted to university activities related to exploratory work on elemental computing architectures. This site is intended to go beyond the standard support provided by Element CXI with the intent of investigating new use-models for their ECA devices. The intended purpose of this site is to provide:
  • university-created tutorials, documents, and applications
  • a FAQ and forum for discussing issues related to the architecture
  • access to Elemental Ptolemy, an open-source tool suite built on top of Berkeley's Ptolemy II modeling environment.
  • a collection of links to related activities.
  • Element Resources
  • Elements_and_Academia.pdf: Elements_in_Academia presentation given at ERSA-09
  • Hello World -- a guided tour to making your first ECA design.
  • Working with distributed memory in the ECA.
  • Exploiting hierarchy in Elemental Ptolemy.
  • Flow control and back pressure.
